In addition to the homage to craftsmanship, the octagon plays a major role in different variations and colors: showcases, counters and wall elements were designed octagonal. The staircase connecting the two floors was also designed in the shape of an octagon. The upper floor features a lounge with refreshments and an area with the Created Diamonds.
“From the grand pink staircase in the shape of an octagon, to the quilted velvets and silks in yellow, green and blue, all details give the feeling of being inside a luxurious jewelry box,’ describes Global Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert. ‘My idea for the store was to create the experience of entering a huge crystal – the world of SWAROVSKI – and to ignite the imagination from the moment you step inside.’
“Swarovski on Fifth is a true milestone for Swarovski and a symbol of the evolution of our brand. This unique store will bring a new sparkle to Manhattan. People in New York will be able to experience all facets of our brand in a luxurious store that brings Swarovski’s creativity, craftsmanship, elegance and 128-year heritage to life,” adds Swarovski CEO Alexis Nasard.
