The mandate includes commercial properties in Bochum, Duisburg, Edingen-Neckarhausen, Haßloch, Hildesheim, Kaiserslautern, Cologne, and Schwerin. This encompasses large single sites as well as the operation of established retail parks, including the Duisburg Mercator Center, the Sieben Seen Center in Schwerin, and the Pfalz Center in Kaiserslautern.
MEC not only takes over the management of the properties for SCP but also brings its own leasing expertise and extensive network of retail tenants to the site operations. Additionally, MEC will collaborate with SCP to further optimize some of the properties. The collaboration benefits from the proven expertise of the Düsseldorf-based commercial real estate specialist in refurbishing commercial sites.
Christian Schröder, COO of MEC: “We are delighted by the trust that SCP Group has placed in MEC with this new mandate. By expanding our portfolio with an additional eight sites with diverse requirements for our management services, our client clearly emphasizes MEC’s interdisciplinary solution competence in operating and developing commercial sites.”
