Søstrene Grene Plans Expansion In Germany

Søstrene Grene is continuing its expansion in Germany with another branch opening in Augsburg on July 26. According to the company, more than 80 stores are to be in operation in Germany by the end of the month.

The long-term aim is to operate 100 stores in Germany over the next two to three years. “Germany is already our largest market and has long been one of our focus regions. Since the opening of our first store in Hamburg in 2016 and the overwhelmingly positive feedback from our German customers, our expansion in Germany has gained momentum,” explains Mikkel Grene, CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene. “We continue to see great potential to bring our concept to even more beautiful German cities.”

Germany replaced Denmark as Søstrene Grene’s largest market a few years ago and will, according to the company, be the first market to reach 100 stores. At the same time, the chain is optimizing its PoS concept. Since 2019, Søstrene Grene has been presenting the “Retail for the Senses” store concept, which aims to activate consumers’ senses throughout their entire visit to the store.

They have further developed their store concept and are constantly opening new stores that present Retail for the Senses. At the same time, they are renovating older stores to adapt them to this concept.

Søstrene Grene operates a total of 300 stores in 16 European countries.
