Sales of SES’s shopping voucher DER ZEHNER are also picking up noticeably. This confirms a trend: according to a survey by the Linz-based market Institute, gift vouchers are in first place in the gift ranking this year. With the ZEHNER vouchers, the SES shopping centers not only offer a perfect gift option, but also support the LICHT INS DUNKEL aid campaign. With a variety of traditional events, the SES centers once again provided festive shopping experiences and good visitor frequency last week.
“As December 8 falls on a Sunday this year, it is not available as a shopping day. Nevertheless, the holiday constellation is very favorable for retailers, as December 23 – a Monday – means that many people can still use the window day for Christmas shopping. Experience shows that gift shopping will continue to pick up next week,” says SES CEO Christoph Andexlinger.
Gift vouchers are the perennial favorite: at 30%, they are the most frequently chosen category for Christmas gifts, followed by cash gifts, books, toys and perfumery/cosmetics. The 16 to 29 age group in particular prefers vouchers to traditional gifts such as books or toys. The experience of the first two pre-Christmas shopping weeks shows that sales of ZEHNER shopping center vouchers are already going very well. With the new additional service of ZEHNER voucher machines in some SES malls, customer requests can be met even more easily. In addition, gifts from the fashion and electronics sectors are proving to be very popular in the SES malls.
