ShoppingCity Wels Celebrates Many New Openings In The Final Push For 2024

ShoppingCity Wels can look back on a challenging but successful 2024. Thanks to an attractive mix of sectors and its strategic focus, SCW was able to welcome several high-caliber newcomers this year.

BILLA has been enriching the center since December 5, 2024 with a modern and spacious supermarket on 800m² of retail space, which offers regional products and a well thought-out shopping experience. This strengthens its role as a local supplier.

Also, the Italian boutiques Moda Milano & Bella Scarpa have been bringing fashion directly from Italy to Wels on 300 sq m since early December, whereas another newcomer, Shoe4You has been in operation since August 16, 2024 and was able to seamlessly compensate for the withdrawal of My Shoes. The retailer offers an attractive selection of shoes & accessories for every taste and occasion on 500 sq m.

In terms of gastronomy, Potato&Corn has been focusing on potato creations since 02.12.2024, rounding off the shopping experience with culinary delights.

Additionally, Woolworth, known for its unbeatable price-performance ratio, was the first location in Upper Austria and has complemented the range since August 23, 2024 with a wide assortment from fashion to household goods on over 1,200 sq m.

Finally, Tesla has also put 8 Tesla Superchargers into operation last week, thus demonstrating sustainable and modern e-mobility and making the SCW a destination for e-vehicles of all brands.

“We are delighted that we were able to attract several well-known tenants as new partners in 2024,” says Christian Guzy, owner of SCW.

“Our aim is to further strengthen our positioning as a family-oriented shopping center, adds Anton Cech, Managing Director at the center. “A broad selection of attractive stores and reasonably priced offers underlines this and is the right way to go, especially in times like these.”
