Storefront — The World’s Largest Marketplace For Short-Term Retail Spaces

Pop-up shops are more than just a trend; they are a valuable business opportunity and here to stay. Without having to commit to a long-term commercial lease, pop-up stores promote brands, concepts, services or products in a short period of time. Building on this idea, Storefront, a sharing-economy company, provides short-term retail spaces for rent to companies through an online platform, used specifically as pop-up retail locations.

The company aims to connect brands, e-commerce businesses and artists with space owners for short- term rentals, creating pop-up stores and events in leading retail cities around the world, including New York, Paris, London, Milan, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Notable brands that have collaborated with Storefront include Google, Samsung, L’Oréal, Everlane, Shopify, Indiegog and more.

Storefront features flexible rentals in areas with high foot traffic and visibility to give customers’ projects maximum exposure. Brands can find spaces that meet their criteria through filtering by price, location and duration. Beside pop-up stores and event spaces, locations offered also include shopping mall spaces, art galleries, and more.

The procedure of renting a space with Storefront is set up in a simple way. Customers can browse through thousands of listings on the platform, send inquiries for spaces that catch their eyes, and use the platform’s flexibility and concierge service to meet their needs. From customer searches, equipment hire, and store/event design, to staffing, wi-fi services, insurance, international expansion, and more, Storefront provides numerous services that make the search for and rental of a location many times easier.

The Storefront service fee covers full access to over 10,000 listings worldwide, 24-hour customer support, and a secure payment & booking platform. The standard service fee is 20%, which is included in the rental price. When browsing spaces on the website, the prices shown indicate the total price for the rental, including Storefront’s fee.

Moreover, the site also enhances customer experience by further differentiating between free and premium services. Utilizing Priority Passes with different tiers, the company provides each tier with a unique set of advantages that cater to different needs, aspirations, and ambitions. The three tiers above free services include Silver, Gold and Platinum, where services, such as unlimited conversations with landlords; personalized proposals from experts; price negotiation and contract handling; and booking, check-in and check-out assistance are already included in the Silver package.

Building on the basic service package, Storefront further includes a real estate hunting service and a personal Account Manager, as well as access to country experts, and guidance for financial and legal requirements in the two Pass upgrades, with many additional features aiding customers in finding the best location for their project.

With the priority passes, the company assists customers in making better decisions, matching the services to brands’ different requirements of the location. As such, fashion week showrooms, high street pop-up stores, and a store opening in a new country, are all matched with the most suitable service package, ranging from Silver to Platinum, respectively.
