The Lean Luxury Hotel will have 219 modern design rooms and attractive public guest areas, including a winter garden and a roof terrace with panoramic views. Construction is scheduled to start in the second half of 2025, with the opening planned for early 2027.
“Our first hotel project in Denmark exemplifies our strategy of acquiring existing assets or land in selected attractive cities in Europe and developing them with investment and expertise into sustainable, user-oriented properties that are attractive to end investors,” comments Henrie W. Kötter, CEO of ECE Work & Live. “We are delighted to realize this exciting project together with the Ruby Group as our partner.”
“Copenhagen has always been a top priority for us and we are delighted to finally enter the Danish market. The dynamic atmosphere of the city with its rich art scene, vibrant culture and renowned gastronomy is a perfect fit for our target group,” adds Elena Günther-Jakobs, Associate Director Central & Northern Europe at Ruby Group. “We look forward to continuing our successful partnership with ECE and bringing our unique hospitality offering to this growing market.”
ECE Work & Live is developing and realizing the new Ruby Hotel through the conversion of an existing office property located directly on the main shopping street Gammel Kongevej. The location is characterized by high-quality residential quarters, attractive retail concepts, plenty of greenery and good transport links to the city centre and the airport. ECE acquired the plot with the existing property last year and is investing a total of around 65 million euros in the project.
ECE Work & Live is currently realizing another hotel in Italy with the Ruby Group as a partner. It is developing a historic building in the heart of Rome into a Ruby Hotel with 164 rooms. Other current hotel projects of the ECE Group include the repositioning of a historic hotel building in the old town of Venice into a 5-star lifestyle hotel and the development of a Stayery brand hotel on the roof of the Gesundbrunnen-Center in Berlin by the Group company ECE Real Estate Partners.
