After the opening of the first intenational department store in Vienna, this year Manufactum opened his eleventh location on Georgstraße in Hanover. On a sales area of about 700 sq m, the three-storey shop provides products from the fields of apparel, furnitures and home textiles up to kitchen and gardening accesories or body care.
Adapted to the capital city of Lower Saxony, the design concept presents itself in an urban, modern and light way. Bright oak wood is used as the main material for product furnishings combined with light gray colored floor tiles and exposed concrete surfaces on the ceiling, black steel as well as dark natural stone with green and gray cement tiles in the café counter area provide a contemporary lightness and valuable nonchalance. The rounded glass facade that is stretched over the store’s entire height and length turns the department store into an inviting, open location, which welcomes its visitors and displays the “good things” in the store.

The open stairwell embraces a transparent elevator that unites all three sales levels – from lower to the upper floor. On the ground level of the department store, visitors also find the popular café brot&butter as well as a sales counter with selected delicacies and café products
