The partnership with Tinies is the first of its kind in the UK, with C&R’s shopping centre guests set to enjoy two hours of free childcare when it opens on October 26. This is the latest development in The Marlowes’ Family Zone which opened in May and has so far received investment of £1.7m. The new creche will enable parents to enjoy a convenient, stress-free shopping experience while ensuring that their children receive the highest standards of care.
The investment doesn’t stop there. December will see the opening of PureGym in the Marlowes as C&R continues to increase the leisure offer. PureGym is the UK’s largest gym by membership, and will attract approximately 5,000 members in the town. This will allow guests to take advantage of the 24-hour fitness facility at a time convenient to them.
Through both new developments, Capital & Regional will transform the offering and overall guest experience at The Marlowes, and cement its position at the heart of the local community it serves.
These partnerships are just the beginning of a huge investment into The Marlowes. Over the next 18 to 24 months there will be an additional £17m spent at the Centre to continue improvements to its leisure offer, including investment into a new Empire cinema, casual dining options and a food court. This is because Capital & Regional understands the importance of providing experiences for the whole family.
Lawrence Hutchings, Chief Executive of Capital & Regional said: “We are delighted to be introducing new brands and supporting new collaborations to augment guest experience. Tinies will really enhance our existing Family Zone at The Marlowes, where we’ll provide all of our guests, parents and children with a memorable experience. Parents can enjoy their shopping or work-out, knowing their children are in a safe, fun and controlled environment, while the kids can have a lot of fun.
PureGym is also a really exciting addition to The Marlowes, set to completely transform the South side of the mall when it opens before Christmas. It’s a whole new offering at the centre and we have worked closely to deliver a space that is attractive, accessible and right for our guests.”
