Lifestyle Outlets rebrands Lowry Outlet as part of £26 Million developement to Quayside MediaCityUK

Lifestyle Outlets, part of Peel L&P, has announced that it is rebranding Lowry Outlet as work is well underway on what is set to be one of the region’s most exciting and vibrant leisure destinations.

“Quayside MediaCityUK” will be home to ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Jungle Challenge – a first of its kind immersive attraction opening in Autumn 2020 alongside a recently redeveloped state of the art all recliner Vue Cinema, Virgin Active and “The Watergardens” – Manchester’s only waterfront leisure and dining destination, set proudly within MediaCityUK.

Jason Pullen, Managing Director of Lifestyle Outlets said: “We are hugely proud of our connection with the Lowry theatre, which will always be part of our identity. The name Quayside MediaCityUK has been chosen to reflect our unique location as the retail and leisure heart of MediaCityUK, as well as celebrating our Salford Quays and dockside heritage.

While Outlet shopping is at the heart of what we do, Quayside MediaCityUK offers much more than a traditional outlet for our visitors, with an enhanced leisure offering, great events and entertainment, world class museums and theatres as neighbours, plus we’re an exciting place to live and work. Quayside MediaCityUK is much more representative of the vibrant, waterfront location we are becoming and with ITV and The Watergardens opening this year, 2020 is due to be our most exciting year yet”

The Watergardens will see a variety of restaurants, bars and coffee shops opening from Autumn 2020. A new waterfront terrace will be home to a range of restaurants, each benefiting from unrivalled views across the Quays while an iconic building called “the glasshouse” with two storey, 270 degree waterside views will offer a combination of dining and bar offers. An additional bespoke leisure restaurant “the treehouse” will be located adjacent to the new ITV I’m A Celebrity Jungle Challenge.

The new branding will be introduced in phases across the estate’s assets including signage on front of and within the building, an updated website as well as social media channels.

Lifestyle Outlets currently has two operational centres – Gloucester Quays in the heart of the Cotswolds and Lowry Outlet at the heart of MediaCity UK – offering a unique mix of retail, leisure and entertainment based on USP’s of placemaking, entertainment and collaboration.

This model is already proving successful with more than 11 million visitors and a 5.5% growth in sales in 2019/2020
