Hines, the international real estate firm, has announced the appointment of Farhaz Miah as Director of Research for Europe.
The appointment further enhances Hines Europe’s already strong research capabilities, with Farhaz joining Hines’ global Proprietary Research Group, which provides informed views and insights to support investment activity across the firm.
Farhaz will work closely with Michael Hudgins, Managing Director of Research for Hines, to inform the firm’s investment strategies, generate investment ideas and support the firm’s deals. He will also work alongside Hines’ strategy team, applying the firm’s proprietary research approach to analyze emerging trends and model outcomes.
With experience researching sectors including Purpose Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and Logistics, Farhaz joins Hines from DWS, where he was a Vice President in its Alternatives Research and Strategy function. Prior to this, he was a Senior Research Analyst at Preqin, a company providing data, analytics and insights on the alternative assets market.
Alex Knapp, Chief Investment Officer for Europe at Hines, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Farhaz to Hines, in a move which further expands our already strong research capability and allows us to provide investors with the latest insight and analysis. In an ever-evolving marketplace our research expertise and our on the ground teams are a powerful combination in identifying new trends and opportunities.”
Joshua Scoville, Senior Managing Director and Head of Proprietary Research at Hines, said: “This appointment not only enhances our research capabilities, but it comes at a crucial time too. We see data and insight as a core tool for future investment decisions and we are delighted to have Farhaz’s expertise as we grow our offer in Europe.”
Farhaz Miah, Director of Research at Hines Europe, said: “With its global presence and breadth of expertise, Hines is well placed to provide investors with best-in-class insights and I look forward to being part of this already strong research team.”
