The extended mandates cover customized services around integrated center management of retail parks and hybrid malls including commercial and technical management as well as leasing.
“We are pleased to have been able to successfully advance the further development of the centers together with MEC this year and to extend our good cooperation. 2020 was a special year; the Corona pandemic presented us, our tenants and business partners with special challenges. But it also showed the importance of local supply and a good center manager on site. Outstanding work was done in all our centers to continue to create a safe shopping experience for our customers” said Oliver Borg, Director Region Germany, METRO PROPERTIES.
“We thank METRO PROPERTIES for this signal of continued trustful cooperation,” says MEC-CFO Sebastian Kienert. “The mandate extensions at the twelve locations nationwide strengthen our core business and allow us to successfully continue our center services based on customer needs with our interdisciplinary teams.”
Over the years, MEC has become the national leader in retail center management with a continuous expansion of its client base and new market-oriented services. In addition to managing retail parks and hybrid malls, it is currently expanding its new property management product for smaller retail properties as another pillar of growth.
