Hammerson is pleased to announce the appointment of Himanshu Raja as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director. He will succeed James Lenton who gave notice of his resignation to the Company in January 2021.
Himanshu will join as CFO and Executive Director on 26 April 2021, at which point James will step down from both roles.
Himanshu holds a law degree (LLB), is a Chartered Accountant and was most recently CFO at Countrywide, from 2017 until its sale to Connells Ltd in March 2021. Prior to that he had served as CFO at G4S plc, Misys plc and Logica plc. His previous roles have seen Himanshu work across a range of sectors, developing extensive experience in transformation and debt and equity markets.

Ceconomy AG has taken the first decisive step in establishing a uniform management structure of the CECONOMY Group. The Supervisory Board of Ceconomy decided to appoint Florian Wieser, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group (MediaMarktSaturn) since November 2018, as CFO and member of the Management Board of Ceconomy with effect from 1 May 2021. He is assuming the mandate of Karin Sonnenmoser, who is leaving the company on 30 April 2021.

The John Lewis Partnership announces that Nish Kankiwala will join its Board this month as a Non-Executive Director.
Nish brings 40 years’ experience in retail and consumer brands such as PepsiCo, Unilever and Burger King. He is currently the Chief Executive of Hovis, a business with over 130 years of heritage.
Nish started his career at Unilever in a number of commercial and operational roles, before moving to Pepsico where he became President of the soft drinks business in Europe and Africa. He then moved to Burger King International as President.

Christoph Andexlinger becomes the sole Austrian on the supervisory board of the new European Industry Association, the ECSP.
SES Spar European Shopping Centers now holds a seat on the Supervisory Board of the new European Council of Shopping Places (ECSP) and is one of its founding members.
Managing Director Christoph Andexlinger, Chief Operations Officer at SES since 1 January 2021, has been appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of the ECSP and, as such, will represent the interests of the Austrian retail real estate industry at the European level for the next three years. The new Executive Board was elected and confirmed during the first ECSP General Meeting, which took place in Brussels on 31 March.

AmRest Holdings SE announced a planned leadership succession which will be completed in July 2021. Luis Comas, who has been leading the La Tagliatella brand at AmRest, will be promoted as the new CEO with an effect on July 1st, 2021. Mr. Comas will succeed Mark Chandler, current Chief Executive Officer, who has decided to retire in June 2021 after serving 13 years in the company.

With over 20 years’ experience working in retail and leisure leasing Caroline has previously held positions at Intu Properties as a leasing manager and Colliers International, where she acted for retailers on expansion programmes and shopping centre leasing initiatives for landlords.

Sabine Georgi joins the Urban Land Institute (ULI) from Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has appointed Sabine Georgi as executive director of the ULI Germany/Austria/Switzerland National Council. She will replace Stephanie Baden, who left the organisation to pursue other opportunities. Sabine joins from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) where she worked as a country manager Germany and will start her new role in May 2021.

Professional with over 10 years of experience in real estate, Suardi, after working in several local communities, joined World Capital in 2013 he held various positions including Head of Advisory, managing the Letting & Investment team. In 2016 he moved to the BNP Paribas group, initially as a Senior consultant in the management area, and then received a mandate for the launch of the local unit dedicated to Retail. It also contributes to the development of the Pan-European platform by creating a channel dedicated to the High Street segment and strong synergies with the major Italian brands. In recent years, it has consolidated its position by focusing on the Luxury and Premium segment, managing significant operations, including those of international importance.
