Niam, one of the largest real estate owners in the Nordics, has been the owner of the center since 2015 and has done several successful value-add activities to increase the attractiveness of the center, such as renovated the large restaurant area and introduced a remote workspace called Konttori. During the past year, sales numbers in Kaari have grown, despite the restrictions due to the pandemic.
Antti Muilu, Country Manager Finland, says, “The stable development of visitors and sales confirms the strong offering Kaari Shopping Center provides. Welcoming Tokmanni, JYSK and Gigantti to Kaari will, together with the upgraded food court with a variety of restaurants, further increase the attractiveness of the center, both for visitors and tenants.”
Gigantti will open its new store on the ground floor on June 10. “Gigantti is entering a new era in Kaari Shopping Center by opening its first chain level store in Finland since 2014. The store concept has been built with care and affection – starting from a common cultural foundation, all the way to services and solutions that improve the customer experience in various ways. With this opening, we want to look at the post-Covid-19 period together with our customers and remember how good everyday business feels by positive encounters and satisfied experiences. A warm welcome to our Kaari store, whose vision is to be the best Gigantti in the world for both our customers and staff”, says Laura Tarkka, CEO of Gigantti.
JYSK is celebrating its new store in Kaari on June 10. “We are working every day to get a little closer to the customer and our easy to shop stores all over the country is an important part of this strategy. Kaari is a great location for us on our way towards the goal of 100 JYSK stores in Finland and our third opening during the business year starting September 2020. We are happy to welcome all customers to purchase something new to their homes, gardens and businesses”, says Tuomas Piirtola, Country Manager at JYSK.
“Tokmanni is pleased to announce that a new store in line with its latest concept will be opened in the Kaari shopping centre in August. The new concept offers a wider assortment than before and better shopping convenience. The new store will also have a garden department on the parking level on the second-floor, where the products sold at discount prices will be easy to load directly from the store to the car,” says Harri Koponen, Store Network and Concept Director at Tokmanni.
