Grosvenor Group appoints Melanie Gee as Non-Executive Chair of Grosvenor Britain & Ireland

Melanie will initially join as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect, succeeding Jonathon Bond in the role of Chair from September this year. As previously announced, Jonathon Bond takes up the newly created role of Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Grosvenor Estate.

Melanie is a Senior Adviser in London to Lazard, the global financial advisory and asset management firm, having joined as a Managing Director in 2008. Melanie spent the previous 25 years in the financial advisory business with S.G. Warburg & Co. Ltd. and then UBS.

Melanie is Chair of FTSE250 life sciences investor Syncona Ltd, also chairing its Nomination and Governance Committee. She is a Non-Executive Director at Standard Life Aberdeen plc where she sits on the Nomination & Governance and Audit Committees and is the Non-Executive Director with responsibility for bringing the employee voice into the Boardroom. Melanie also sits on advisory groups for two private family offices and a charity.
