Last week, La Torre Outlet Zaragoza turned into a fashion catwalk. The new fashion and lifestyle shopping destination for northern Spain collaborated with FITCA (Federation of Textile and Clothing Industries of Aragon, Spain) to support the Aragonese textile and commercial sector by sponsoring two of the most important events in the region: Aragon Fashion Week (AFW 21) and the 16th Young Aragonese Designers Competition. Sustainability, innovation, cinema and the visibility of the fashion industry were the main topics of this year’s edition. In addition, the fashion outlet complex hosted various activities that also helped to showcase local talent and creativity.
The event was officially inaugurated on September 10 by Luis Aparicio, President of FITCA; Sara Gao, Marketing Director of La Torre Outlet Zaragoza; Santiago Vicente, Secretary General of FITCA; and Francisco-Javier Burillo, Head of the Government of Aragon’s SME Support Service.
The fashion shows took place on 17th and 18th September in the central square of La Torre Outlet Zaragoza, an open space adapted to the current health situation. All of them were projected at the same time on the giant LED screen located in the facilities.
The main pillars of the Aragon Fashion Week program were sustainability, innovation, cinema and the visibility of the fashion industry. Therefore, the event included talks and conferences related to the influence of social networks on fashion consumption as well as the research of new organic fabrics in the sector, presentations that counted with the participation of Aragonese designers who have been part of major film or television productions.
