After the insolvency proceedings, the new owner has now been determined: CK Technology Solutions GmbH, based in Vienna. After 150 years, the Görtz family is no longer part of the company; Hamburg-based entrepreneur Bolko Kissling is taking over as sole owner and will continue to run 40 of the 160 stores under the Görtz name. 650 of the approximately 1800 employees before will remain.
CEO Frank Revermann is leaving the company at his own request at the end of the month. Tobias Volgmann will remain as part of the management team.
The new Görtz investor is optimistic about the future: he sees “great potential to put the company back on a stable footing with the right partners and a clear customer focus,” Kissling explains in a statement.
