AN OPEN AND WARM PLACE

Redevco is redeveloping L’Espace du Palais in the heart of the French city of Rouen. The new scheme will introduce brands with complementary concepts.

L’Espace du Palais, the 10,000 sq m retail property comprising 30 units in the heart of Rouen, will be revitalized with the aim of offering a complete and improved shopping experience. With a strong catchment area of 525,000 inhabitants, the new scheme will introduce brands with unprecedented and complementary concepts to the existing offer in the city. Construction work began in November 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2018.

Redevco has chosen architectural firm Moatti & Rivière to revisit the total design of the site through the creation of transparency and light. In order to streamline the entire customer journey from the shopping mall to the outdoor pedestrian square, the design was entrusted to Lonsdale AKDV.

Benjamin Despres, Portfolio Director Redevco France, explained: “For the redevelopment of Espace du Palais, we were inspired by Rouen, a city with a rich cultural heritage. We are creating a complete shopping experience, with a focus on the art of living in an open, modern, inspiring, and warm place.”
