Apple’s first spatial computer

“Today marks the beginning of a new era for computing,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “ Apple unveiled a revolutionary spatial computer, Apple Vision Pro, on June 5, 2023 that seamlessly merges digital content with the physical world, enabling users to stay present and connected with others.

Vision Pro creates a canvas for apps that goes beyond the limits of a traditional screen, introducing a fully three-dimensional user interface controlled by the most natural and intuitive inputs – the user’s eyes, hands and voice.

Equipped with visionOS, the world’s first spatial operating system, Vision Pro allows users to interact with digital content in a way that feels like they are physically present in their space. Users can access their entire photo library in iCloud and view their photos and videos life-size with brilliant colour and spectacular detail. Each panorama captured with iPhone zooms in and surrounds the user, giving them the feeling of standing exactly where it was taken. Apple Immersive Video offers high-definition 180-degree recording with Spatial Audio, and users can access a range of exciting immersive videos that take them to entirely new places. Will also impact the shopping experience at online shops in the future

Apple Vision Pro features an ultra-high resolution display system with 23 million pixels on two screens – more than a 4K TV for each eye – and the brand new R1 chip for a near real-time, lag-free view of the world. Available early 2024, priced from US$3499.
