Banksy exhibition at Citypark Graz attracts 40.000 visitors

After a total of 87 opening days, the “The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind” exhibition about the world-famous graffiti artist and painter Banksy has attracted 40,000 visitors to Citypark Graz.

“We are very proud that Citypark was the venue for this exhibition, that it inspired 40,000 visitors and that we were able to offer our customers an additional added value in the shopping experience,” says Citypark Center Manager Waldemar Zelinka.

More than 150 street art works could be admired: Graffiti, photographs, sculptures, video installations, and prints on various materials such as canvas, fabric, aluminum, forex, and plexiglass were reproduced and assembled. “The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind” gave visitors a comprehensive overview and insight into the complete works of the exceptional artist.

“Showing Banksy’s unique street art in the urban Citypark is the perfect combination for all visitors,” says Christoph Andexlinger, COO of SES Spar European Shopping Centers. “At SES, edutainment and leisure activities have been a permanent fixture in addition to shopping for many years in order to make the customers’ stay in the center even more varied, to surprise them with something new. Art and culture are particularly close to the heart of SES.”
