Bershka opens the world’s largest store in Frankfurt

After the store in Frankfurt’s MyZeil was closed after 12 years due to high rents, Bershka was looking for a new location on the Zeil in Frankfurt.

The company found what it was looking for in the former Karstadt store on the Zeil, which was rented by the Aachener fashion house and had to close again just two months after opening due to insolvency.

According to press reports, Bershka is now taking over the 4,000 sq m space in April 2024 in order to open the largest Bershka store in the world just one month later. So far, the store in Milan, which opened in the fall of last year, was clearly ahead with a sales area of 1900 sq m. How long it will remain the largest store is still uncertain, as the owner of the building wanted to demolish it and build a mixed-use building.

According to reports, the long-term pop-up store will run until the end of 2026.
