BNP Paribas REIM Continues Restructuring European Teams

As a market player with a European focus, BNP Paribas REIM is continuing to restructure its teams with several new appointments.

Jean-Maxime Jouis has been appointed Global Head of Fund Management & Private Investors of BNP Paribas REIM as well as Deputy General Manager of BNP Paribas REIM France.

He joined the management board in 2019, his new responsibilities include overseeing the lifecycle of funds launched for institutional and private investors across Europe, as well as managing all of the company’s private investment business activities.

Together with Marc Sillon, Head of Private Investor Relations, he is responsible for the development of the European B2C business (local and European level products). Jouis is a graduate of ESSEC Business School and joined the company in 2007, where he worked as Asset Manager, Fund Manager, and Head of Fund Management. He reports to Sigrid Duhamel, CEO in France and Global CIO, and to Laurent Ternisien, Chief Client Officer and CEO in Luxembourg.

Paul Darribère has been appointed Head of Fund Management France.

In 2021, the European fund management team has also been expanded. A graduate of EDHEC Business School and the London School of Economics, Darribère initially worked for Ernst & Young transaction services before joining Hammerson’s corporate finance team, and then Articular Inversiones in Latin America.

Charlotte Laffoucrière takes over the position as Deputy Head of Fund Management France

Laffoucrière is particularly responsible for strategic direction in Europe and the separate account business. Before joining the company in 2012, Laffoucrière was an investment manager for Klépierre. She reports to Paul Darribère, Head of Fund Management.

Andreas Nixdorf is the new Head of Fund Management in Germany.

Since 2016, he has been Senior Fund Manager responsible for three German institutional funds and two international club deals, which he will continue to manage. Before joining the firm, he was responsible for four German and Luxembourg special funds as Director Fund Management at IVG Institutional Funds GmbH.

Elisa Bacchetta takes over as Head of Fund Management in Italy.

She joined the company in 2007 and held the positions of Transaction Manager, Head of Acquisitions, and Senior Fund Manager. Previously, she worked for Ernst & Young and Fondiaria SAI Group.

Stefanie Gertz is now Head of Real Estate Financing.

She leads a European team responsible for the real estate financing of all funds, managed by BNP Paribas REIM as well as the real estate debt funds managed by BNP Paribas REIM Germany. She spent seven years as Senior Credit Risk Manager at Düsseldorfer Hypothekenbank, and eleven years at Bayern LB as head of a team in commercial real estate finance. Stefanie Gertz reports to Claus Thomas, CEO of BNP Paribas REIM Germany and Jean-Maxime Jouis.
