The construction of the Era Park facility in Warsaw is progressing according to schedule, and the official opening is scheduled for November this year. Mallson Polska, the company responsible for the commercial concept and rental, is also working with the owner of the chain on the lease of another Era Park project, which will be built in Iława.

Knightswood Shopping Centre, in the Knightswood area of Glasgow is fully let for the first time in three years after LCP, the commercial property and investment company that manages the centre, signed up three tenants in just six weeks.

AG Real Estate has confirmed the diversification of its commercial offer in the heart of the shopping centres it owns and manages. Several new leisure projects, with nearly 10,000m2 floorspace in all, will be added to the retail offer already present in the malls of its portfolio, thus offering a mix that meets the new customers’ needs.

The topping out ceremony was held on June 24th at the construction site of Galeria Andrychów – the largest retail park in the region and one of major retail developments currently under construction in Poland. The event was attended by local authorities, investors – Acteeum Group and Equilis Europe, as well as retailers and business partners.

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has announced the appointment of Emanuela Recchi, president of Recchi Engineering, as chair of ULI Italy. She succeeds Davide Albertini Petroni, managing director, Risanamento S.p.A, and will officially begin her voluntary two-year term on 1 July 2021.

The opening of new stores across SES shopping centers has continued unabated: The Danish Bestseller Group is set to open a total of four new “Jack & Jones” (young men’s fashion & denim) and “Only” (young women’s fashion & denim) stores at the SES-managed Weberzeile Ried, MAX.Center Wels, and Gerngross Vienna shopping centers by fall.

French company Wishibam won over the jury of six experts at the fifth PropTech Innovation Award to take top prize in this year’s final round. Wishibam, winner in the “Re:Create Retail” category, helps shopping malls and city centres adapt to the digital world and is fighting against the growth of online shopping. How? The solution comprises a digital marketplace for brick-and-mortar retailers, as well as an entire ecosystem of additional tools for logistics, warehouse management, marketing and interaction between visitors.
