CEO Andrew Keith Leaves Selfridges

Andrew Keith is quitting as CEO of the Selfridges division of Selfridges Group as of this autumn with the group’s Chief Executive André Maeder replacing him.

Andrew Keith was appointed as managing director of the luxury department store in November 2020 and took the reins in February 2021.  In June 2023, Keith’s job title was changed to CEO with his responsibilities remaining the same. He piloted the retailer during a sale to Thailand’s Central Group, as well as navigated through numerous Covid-19 lockdowns.

Newly appointed Selfridges Group CEO André Maeder, who joined in May, will take over Keith’s responsibilities, shared WWD. Maeder was previously CEO of German department store business KaDeWe Group, which is also owned by Selfridges Group owner Central Group.

Maeder plans to focus on “innovation, enhancing customer experiences, and maintaining the exceptional quality that defines our legacy”. “Together, we will ensure that our brand continues to set the standard in the industry, providing the unrivalled offering Selfridges is renowned for,” he added.
