CLEANLYECO – The washing revolution in stripes!

Further products such as fabric softener and dishwashing detergent in strips are to follow in fall 2024.

Cleanlyeco was launched in Slovakia in early 2022 by the mastermind behind the development of the product, Erik Varga. As co-founder, Patrick William Sator is responsible for international sales and acts as importer for the German-speaking countries.

The startup’s self-dissolving strips are easy to use, easy to transport due to their low weight (50g per pack), ultra-concentrated, free from dioxane, fragrances, bleach and microplastics and dermatologically tested. It is also 100% water-soluble, biodegradable, and suitable for all types of washing machines. Attention was also paid to the materiality of the packaging and plastic was completely avoided. This not only saves large amounts of packaging waste, but also transport emissions, resulting in 94% less CO2 during transportation and 30 times less transport emissions compared to conventional detergents. Cleanlyeco is also vegan and cruelty-free.

There is also a green cooperation with the Greenfinity Foundation: “Sustainability is a key factor as an entrepreneur – both ecologically and economically. That’s why it’s very important to support the sustainable work of the Green finity Foundation,” explains Patrick William Sator. The Greenfinity Foundation is a charitable organization that works under the motto “together for the world – together for tomorrow” for effective environmental and climate protection projects around the world. For every pack of CleanlyEco washing strips sold, a portion is donated to the reforestation of mixed forests in Austria and Germany.
All these points earned Cleanlyeco the title of “Best Ecological Product 2022 in the category: Drugstore Products” and “Best Innovative Product 2022” in Slovakia. The awards recognized the broader impact of sustainability and social responsibility. In Austria and Germany, Cleanlyeco won the highly endowed Westfield Grand Prix – Community Choice Award 2023 and came third in the “Best Green Innovation” category at the Austrian Retail Award. The product also won the international V-Label Award for Best Household Product 2022.
