CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD NEWLY MANAGES AND LEASES ADVENTUM’S SHOPPING CENTER’S PORTFOLIO

Cushman & Wakefield has taken over the management of a portfolio of three shopping centers and one retail park acquired from Tesco last year by the Hungarian investment group Adventum Group in a unique transaction involving 18 retail projects across the CEE region.

Cushman & Wakefield assisted its long-standing client Tesco in the sale and is now managing and exclusively leasing 50,000 sq m of retail in the Czech Republic space for Adventum.

The projects that Cushman & Wakefield manages and leases for Adventum Group in the Czech Republic include Retail Park Chrudim, OC Fontána Karlovy Vary, OC Galerie Ostrava, and OC Silesia Opava. In all three shopping centers, the key tenant is the Tesco hypermarket, which now leases the space.

Other tenants include well-known brands such as TEDi, Action, and Sportisimo. As their great asset, all three shopping centers can also offer customers a branch of the Czech Post and other services or shops for everyday shopping. The advantages of the projects, which are all located in excellent locations, include large car parks and good accessibility by car, public transport, and on foot.

Martin Šimek, Partner and Head of Retail Asset Services, Cushman & Wakefield has said: “Together with our colleagues from the retail leasing team, which is repeatedly rated as the best in the market, we are working mainly on filling vacant units and improving the current positioning of these shopping centers to make them as attractive as possible for customers, making them visit often and gladly. Our experience of managing many shopping centers over the years is clear evidence to our client Adventum that we are a strong partner to stabilize their new market position.”
