Deichmann Subsidiary Takes Over 27 Stores From The Swiss SportX

The Swiss Migros Group has announced that it is selling 27 locations of the sports retailer SportX to the Dosenbach-Ochsner Group, a subsidiary of Deichmann.

Along with the 27 stores, all their employees are also to be integrated into the Dosenbach-Ochsner Group. Out of the total 49 SportX stores, negotiations are currently underway with various interested parties for the remaining 22, Migros announced earlier this week.

The takeover of the stores in question, which is currently still being reviewed by the competition authority Weko, is currently planned to take place on March 1, 2025 at the latest. Accordingly, 24 stores will continue to operate under the Ochsner Sport brand in future, while the remaining three will operate under the Dosenbach brand.

However, the takeover is still subject to the approval of the Swiss Competition Commission.
