This is the first hub of its kind designed to support retail entrepreneurship through the development of a Digital High St Lab to foster innovation and incubation of new retail businesses supporting retailers adapt in an age of rapid digital innovation.
The hub, located on the first floor of The Eastgate Shopping Center was officially opened by Diane Savory OBE, chair of the GFirst LEP, who invested £400,000 of government funding to facilitate the new Hub.
After cutting the ribbon she said: “Our places, our high streets and our retail centers are hugely important to the UK. This Digital Retail Innovation Hub is the first of its kind and it’s putting Gloucester on the map.”
By encouraging entrepreneurs and retailers large and small to better understand the digital space that impacts their businesses, this innovation center will act as incubator space to educate and share new skills in data, tech and digital marketing.
