Dutch discounter Action starts in Switzerland

The long-standing retail professional started in the position of “Acquisition and Construction Manager Switzerland” on November 1, 2023.
The discounter Action currently operates over 2,250 stores in eleven European countries and employs around 80,000 people. It recently expanded into Slovakia and is now apparently planning to enter the Swiss market. The product range consists of third-party and own brands and comprises around 6,000 products, of which at least 1,500 can be purchased for less than one euro. According to figures, net sales of 8.9 billion euros resulted in an operating profit of 1.2 billion euros.
