Etele Plaza receives occupancy permit – tenants start moving in

The EUR 300 million Etele Plaza developed by Futureal has received the occupancy permit. Therefore, the tenants can now start setting up their stores in Buda’s largest shopping centre. The environment friendly complex with a rentable area of 55,000 sq m will bring the next generation of plaza design to Hungary this September.

The country’s latest shopping and entertainment centre has reached the last phase of its development as the certificate of occupancy had been issued by the local authorities. Due to the progress the stores of the domestic and international tenants can now be completed to get their final look. The anchor tenants already announced are preparing for the September opening with a shopping area and experience never seen before in Hungary. The Spanish Inditex Group decided to be present in Etele Plaza with all of its brands available in the country, including Zara fashion store featuring a brand-new design concept. Peek & Cloppenburg’s first store on the Buda side of the capital will present itself with a new floor space concept in the complex to provide optimal orientation for our customers and to invite them to be inspired by the variety of products on offer.

The exterior design of the shopping mall will be dominated by the largest curtain wall structure in Hungary above the main entrance and retracted metal boxes that jump out from the facades.

Meanwhile the soft tracing creates a unique environment in the internal area. The interiors including the fashionable corridors, an elegant lobby, attractive decor, and an outstanding food court directly connected to the green-roofed terraces will bring the latest generation of shopping mall design to Hungary. Etele Plaza designed by Paulinyi & Partners and Dyer Group (interior design) will feature 180 shops, a supermarket, restaurants, cafés, a multiplex cinema, a gym, a children’s play centre and a range of other services with nearly 1,300 parking lots. The most advanced location and navigation system will facilitate parking in the building by indicating empty spaces. The environment friendly complex already obtained the Breeam Very Good certification during the planning phase, which represents one of the highest levels of sustainability.

„The wide range of stores and service, the unique digital and architectural solutions create an exceptional customer experience that is in great demand from the players of the domestic retail sector as well. The contracted tenants are about to occupy the almost fully completed building, and we are also close to agreement with a number of exciting partners in order to further expand the already huge portfolio of the shopping centre,” emphasized Tibor Tatár, CEO of Futureal.
