To celebrate the occasion, six Peppa Pig fans from in and around Leidschendam were joined by famous mommy blogger Bobbi Eden, Bart van Twillert, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Director and Attraction Manager of the Indoor Play Centre Vincent Pronk, by donning yellow rain boots and making permanent ‘muddy’ boot prints in special cement stones at the site to celebrate the first steps leading to the opening.
Little ones will be fully immersed in the world of Peppa Pig as they explore over 12 free-roaming play areas to ignite their imagination and turn everyday activities into a wonderful adventure. Peppa Pig World of Play, Indoor Play Centre includes facilities for the entire family to relax and play: a themed Campervan Cafe and Picnic area, an independent retail store and, needless to say, plenty of muddy puddles to jump around in. The indoor play center spans over 1500 m² and offers around two hours of fun for children aged 1 to 6 years.
“Peppa Pig is one of the world’s leading pre-school brand properties. The popular television series is broadcasted in 180 territories in 40 languages. Peppa Pig World of Play, Indoor Play Centre Leidschendam is Merlin’s first place in Europe where little piggies can step into Peppa Pig’s world. It’s guaranteed to be a truly memorable experience for families and something to really look forward to visiting.”, said Vincent Pronk Attraction Manager, Peppa Pig World of Play, indoor play centre in Leidschendam.
Merlin Entertainments has a strategic partnership agreement with Hasbro, owner of the Peppa Pig brand, to build and operate Peppa Pig attractions targeted at the pre-school market as part of its broader strategy to engage in IP partnerships with some of the world’s most popular brands. Peppa Pig World of Play, Indoor Play Centre Leidschendam will be the fifth to open worldwide.
