The Glass Works – Barnsley Council’s multi-million-pound town centre regeneration scheme is part of a major plan by Barnsley Council, supported by Development Management specialists Queensberry, to regenerate the town centre. The Glass Works is part of a wider town regeneration programme to make Barnsley an even stronger social, cultural and visitor destination, that will introduce a unique line-up of national retail and leisure brands including Cineworld, Superbowl UK, and Deichmann, as well as the inclusion of community uses such as the Library @ The Lightbox and with Barnsley’s historic Market and Market Kitchen also at the heart of the development. The Glass Works paves the way for Barnsley becoming a more sustainable and accessible town centre that will attract visitors from further afield and improve the local and night-time economy.
