Frasers Group Plans To Expand Sports Direct To The MENA Region

The 10-year partnership between Frasers Group and GMG aims to introduce Sports Direct in the Middle East and North Africa with many new store openings already set for the next years.

The mid-term plan is to open 50 new stores in the region by 2030. In the first year, the partnership will already introduce five new stores, laying the groundwork for continued expansion of Sports Direct in the area.

With a strong presence in the MENA region, as well as Southeast Asia, GMG is a key distributor and operator of Nike stores as well as its multi-brand sports retailer, Sun & Sand Sports.

Sports Direct is the UK’s largest sports goods retailer, operating more than 700 stores worldwide, and serving customers in more than 20 international markets.
