Group CEO Giny Boer Leaves C&A

Giny Boer is stepping down from her role as CEO of C&A Europe “in order to focus on future non-executive tasks”, the company’s Supervisory Board announced on Wednesday.

Since joining C&A Europe in January 2021, Giny Boer has successfully led the company out of the Covid-19 pandemic, established the brand positioning across 17 European countries, provided the impetus for the renovation and modernization of more than 800 stores and prepared C&A Europe for the next phase of transformation.

Edward Brenninkmeijer is now taking her place as interim CEO. Prior to Boer, he was already managing director of the European business and CEO of the entire family-led group.

Meanwhile, Boer’s “future non-executive tasks” will not be fulfilled in another function at C&A, as a statement by the outgoing CEO makes clear: “I am leaving C&A with the confidence that, with the successes of the last almost four years, we have set the course for further sustainable growth of C&A in an environment that continues to be challenging.”
