Guess Plans Strategic Expansion In Germany And Austria

The fashion retailer intends to further expand its presence in the two markets. As part of its project, the company also considers taking over 15 of the 38 Scotch&Soda stores in Germany.

The company continues to focus on the importance of the physical shopping experience and is investing in its own retail stores as well as in the wholesale sector. Guess intends to grow in the wholesale sector and optimize its own positioning. To this end, partnerships are to be strengthened and new alliances entered into across all product lines.

In particular, the expansion focuses on large cities in order to position the brand more strongly in urban centers. To attain a more pronounced presence, the retailer also considers acquiring 15 of Scotch&Soda´s locations in Germany.

As of now, Guess operates more than 30 stores in these two markets combined, with 24 stores in Germany, and eight in Austria.
