The new store is the brand’s third physical location overall, and is located on the Ground floor of Dubai Mall – the second-largest mall in the world by total land area.
The retailer currently has a flagship store on London’s Regent Street and another site at Westfield Stratford City, with new openings planned at Westfield White City, in Manchester and in Amsterdam later this year.
The opening follows the successful launch of localised e-commerce services in the region, including a dual-language website and app, faster shipping times, and same-day delivery options.
“As soon as we announced our intention to open in The Dubai Mall, the anticipation started building and it’s fair to say it grew to fever pitch,” says Hannah Mercer, Gymshark GM of wholesale and retail. “Opening the doors to our first permanent store outside the UK is a huge step in our omnichannel strategy.”
