It is also the first outlet store on mainland Europe and the second worldwide, shared the British sportswear brand’s general manager for wholesale and retail, Hannah Mercer, with FashionUnited.
Gymshark’s first ever outlet store is located in the UK’s Bicester Village, which has provided a perfect springboard for the brand. “We have had great success with this outlet, so we are very excited to see what our first outlet store in mainland Europe will bring us,” said Mercer.
The brand new store spans over approximately 3,300 sq m and offers various collections, among them the ‘Heritage’ and ‘Adapt’ collections.
The Roermond store is opening ahead of the brand’s second Dutch store in Amsterdam, which is expected in the next months. The location in Amsterdam covers around 10,000 sq m, and focuses strictly on the brand’s core experience.
Along Gymshark, Roermond is also welcoming tomorrow the opening of Nike’s largest outlet store in Europe, with further openings scheduled for later dates at McArthurGlen’s Designer Outlet. With currently around 190 stores and over 200 designer brands on a total rental area of around 46,700 sq m, the center in Roermond is one of the largest designer outlets in Europe.
