The lease will start in January 2, 2023 and Kaufland will carry out extensive modernisation measures at the new location. This will involve upgrading the retail space and aligning it with the latest Kaufland store concept. The opening of the ground-level grocery store with approx. 5,400 sq m is expected in fall 2023.
The retail park was developed by the Hahn Group in 2006/2007, has around 20,100 sq m of rental space and more than 500 parking spaces. Tenants of the retail property include ALDI, dm-Drogeriemarkt, C&A, Shoe4You, Stadtsparkasse Oberhausen as well as other specialist stores, service companies, and medical practices. The fully leased property is an established local shopping location that is directly connected to the inner-city pedestrian zone.
