HEMA to open in Rathaus Galerie Essen

A new attraction for the HBB shopping center: The Dutch department store chain HEMA is opening up a new branch in Rathaus Galerie Essen, Germany.

The Shopping Centre is located in a prominent location in Essen’s city centre. „HEMA has been present in Essen since 2002 and is now moving into our Center with a new, more compact store with an updated contemporary look,“ so Frederik Westhoff, Centre Manager Essen at HBB Centermanagement GmbH & Co KG. „The decision on the location was based on the undergoing extensive redevelopment of Rathaus Galerie which is set to give it whole new look – making it a highly attractive environment for HEMA.“

„HEMA deliberately decided to open their new store in Rathaus Galerie Essen due to it being an major hub for customers from Essen and its surrounding areas to shop for their daily needs. Our product range complements the existing offers and fits perfectly into the modernisation scheme. We at HEMA are very much looking forward to this new opening/location in the city centre of Essen!“, so Arjan Meijer, Expansion Manager Germany at HEMA.

HEMA sells affordable products for everyday usage. From soap dispensers to onesies, from make-up to clothing for rainy days, from party decorations to office supplies. HEMA’s selection includes practical products for all areas of life. An in-house design team ensures the typical Dutch product design and touch. Their assortment includes more than 30.000 items. The opening of the new store is planned for January 2023.
