“When it comes to relocating production to Europe, so-called nearshoring, we are not only concerned with faster deliveries and responses, but also with greater independence from Asia, geopolitical reasons such as war and supporting production in Europe,” explained the manager.
Private label socks, gloves and bandages are also no longer only produced in the Far East. Among others, production is being set up in Romania and Bulgaria. “We are also thinking about Africa,” explained Geisler. “Especially in North Africa, there is “a certain textile know-how from tradition”.
