City Galerie in Aschaffenburg (a city in northern Bavaria, Germany) was built in 1974 and comprises a total of more than 57,000 sq m of commercial floor space, the majority of which (around 47,000 sq m) is accounted for by classic retail. In addition to a small proportion of residential, the remainder of the space is office use. In total, visitors will find more than 70 individual stores, the anchor tenants being C&A, Drogerie Müller, H&M, Intersport, MediaMarkt and REWE. The center also has 1,612 parking spaces.
The center has been undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment process since 2020, which is intended to enable a sustainable mix of uses in view of people’s changed shopping, working and living habits.
“City Galerie already successfully integrates complementary uses such as office, residential and childcare alongside classic retail. We want to further expand this logic and generate positive coupling effects for all our tenants. Our focus is primarily on leisure and fitness offerings, especially those with a unique selling proposition and an experiential character,” says Marcus Eggers, Managing Director of IPH Centermanagement.
