Jaeger-LeCoultre opens first store in Germany

When it was founded by Antoine LeCoultre in 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre officially became the first watch manufacture in the Vallée de Joux to unite all aspects of watchmaking under one roof.

During this period, each master watchmaker had his own craft secret, and work was also largely done from home. One of the specialties of the Swiss watch manufacture is the Hybris Mechanica à Grande Sonnerie, one of the most complicated wristwatches in the world, made of 1300 individual parts.

Recently, a store was opened in the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore – in November2023, the first store in Germany is to open its doors: At Maximilianstrasse 24 in Munich, a boutique store of around 200 sq m is being built on two floors. The exclusive VIP area will be located on the upper floor.

Jaeger LeCoultre has been part of the Swiss luxury goods group Compagnie Financière Richemont S.A., or Richemont for short, since 2000. The group was founded by Johann Rupert in 1988 and is headquartered in Bellevue, Switzerland. It includes other luxury brands such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, A.Lange & Söhne, Baume&Mercier, IWC Schaffhausen, Panerai, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, Chloe, Delvaux, Montblanc and many more.
