JYSK Enters Africa With First Opening In Morocco

JYSK opened the first two stores in Casablanca, Morocco. The opening not only establishes JYSK’s presence in Africa but also marks a significant milestone as the company expands into its 50th country.

JYSK has officially entered Africa, marking a new chapter in the Danish home furnishing company’s international expansion as the first two stores open in Casablanca, Morocco.

“Expanding into Africa has been a long-term goal for JYSK, and today we are proud to make it a reality with our first stores in Casablanca. I look forward to seeing how JYSK grows in this exciting new market, and I am confident our great Scandinavian offers will resonate well with Moroccan customers,” says Rami Jensen, President & CEO at JYSK.

The two new stores in Casablanca, located in Viva Park and Aeria Mall, mark the beginning of JYSK’s journey in Morocco. Another store is already planned for later this year, as JYSK continues to expand in the region.

Two weeks prior to the brand’s debut in Africa, JYSK also debuted its first store in South America through its franchise setup, marking entries to two new continents in the same year.

The very first JYSK store opened in Aarhus, Denmark, in 1979 and since then JYSK has grown to more than 31,000 employees and 3,500 stores.
