LYST Index: Fashion´s hottest brands and products Q1/2024

To make The Lyst Index, a brand must deliver on attention and emotion.

Compared to the previous quarter, Prada and Miu Miu have swapped places and the latter now leads the ranking. The upcycled denim collection and promising collaborations with church’s and New Balance are being discussed as possible reasons for the top spot. Balenciaga moved up a whole 4 places to 8th place. Saint Laurent (5), Valentino (9), Skims (13) also moved up one place – Louis Vuitton (14) and The Row (16) moved up two places. Diesel (17), followed by Jacquemus (10), probably suffered the biggest fall with three places in the top 20.

Miu Miu increased by 8% in terms of online searches. Those from male shoppers have even risen by 88% in the last three months. The brand is also represented three times in the Hottest Products: With the collaboration sneaker New Balance 530 SL (1st place) which sold out online after a few hours, the Swim Briefs (3rd place) and the Polo Shirt (7th place). Second place in the ranking went to the Small Julius Panel Earrings from KHAITE. New York brand Area recorded a 37% increase in searches, probably also because Taylor Swift wore the IT piece, the Crystal embellished jeans.

The formula behind The Lyst Index takes into account Lyst shoppers’ behaviour, including searches on and off platform, product views and sales. The Lyst Index is published quarterly and represents the hottest fashion brands compared to the previous quarter.
