The company is working on solutions for digitalizing, optimizing, and automating the complicated reverse logistics of post-consumer take-back, recycling, and processing, such as deposit return systems.
The startup´s actions are centered on decarbonizing the whole waste value chain, from reducing waste volume, and optimal logistics to zero-emission environmentally friendly raw materials and products. For the company, the first step to increase the recycling rate is higher waste segregation, and their smart bins are designed to serve as the starting point of the circular loop.
The average rate of disposed glass bottles per F&B operator in Poland is around 900 per month. To help reducing this number, Maas Loop´s glass-crushing technology helps in re-melting and saves a substantial 290 kg of CO2 every month. Their smart bins “Glass Loop” and “Rev Loop” reduce the volume of glass, plastic, and aluminum waste by up to 80%, translating into a 5-time cost reduction for waste collection.
With the Glass Loop, users can crush up to 60 glass bottles within a minute, as well as 130 plastic bottles or 260 metal cans at a time. By using the device to crush glass, the need for glass collection gets reduced by five times, saving an additional 110 kg of CO2 monthly. Rev Loop in contrast gets produced as a vending machine that can be implemented at grocery stores, while also increasing footfall and reducing carbon footprint.
With its eco-friendly solution, Maas Loop is changing the deposit system to be more user-friendly and convenient for all users. The team aims to make waste logistics more profitable and easier for customers to practice.
