MEC receives new mandate with Schlössle Gallery

As of July 1, 2023, MEC will take over the management at Schlössle Galerie Pforzheim.

The mandate comes from real estate investor Real I.S., which has held the property in an open-ended AIF portfolio fund of the successful BGV series since 2012. The mandate for MEC includes the entire center and site management, technical property management and leasing of the retail space.

“As a modern shopping center, Schlössle Galerie Pforzheim is an asset for our contract portfolio. At the same time, we are continuing our growth strategy beyond classic retail parks”, says Christian Schröder, COO of MEC. “We are very pleased about the confidence of Real I.S. and the order.”

The three-story shopping center, Schlössle Galerie, is located in a prime location in Pforzheim’s city center at Westliche Karl-Friedrich-Strasse 80. There are more than 40 retail, service, and restaurant offerings on the approximately 20,000 sq m of leasable space. These include well-known chain stores such as Jack&Jones, Only, Vero Moda, H&M, Intersport, New Yorker and the drugstore Müller.
