New adidas flagship outlet store in Designer Outlet Sosnowiec

Designer Outlet Sosnowiec, one of Poland’s first and oldest outlet shopping destinations, welcomed the new adidas flagship outlet store on June 7.

Customers at Designer Outlet Sosnowiec can enjoy the expanded Adidas store with almost 1,000 sq m, making it the largest outlet store of the sports brand in the Silesian region and the second largest in Poland right behind Designer Outlet Warszawa, which is also managed by ROS Retail Outlet Shopping.

The new store follows the brand’s latest concept STADIUM, whose interior recreates the atmosphere of a stadium, making visitors feel like in a real sports venue. The entrance, with the brand’s new logo, is reminiscent of the athletes’ gate to a stadium field, and the vast space has been designed so that customers can easily find fashion and accessories for their chosen sport or casual streetwear collections, supported by touch screens for easy product browsing.

The changing rooms in the new store mimic those of the players. There is also space to relax and unwind on comfortable sofas. In this area, the brand has also provided an information space to inform customers about Adidas’ efforts in sustainability and continuous improvement of production based on the use of biodegradable, recycled and recyclable materials, among other things.

In the new store, customers will find the brand’s wide range of products, including the popular Originals line and high-quality sportswear and footwear for various sports such as football, basketball, running, tennis and many more.

“We are really excited about the new Adidas store and grateful for the great reception from our customers, as it has broken the all-time record for opening day sales,” says Dariusz Obołończyk, Centre Manager at Designer Outlet Sosnowiec. “I can’t wait to see how the store will contribute to the further development and popularity of the center.”

Other recent activities at Designer Outlet Sosnowiec include denim retailer Lee Cooper and outdoors brand Quiksilver relocating and expanding their stores earlier this year, while Polish brand Duka enriched the homewear offer with a new store at the center at the end of last month.

‘Trading-up’ and development of Poland’s Designer Outlets

The opening of new stores in outlet shopping destinations always arouses enthusiasm among customers, particularly when it comes to well-known brands that were previously unavailable to shoppers. The last few months of intense leasing activity in the Polish Designer Outlets managed by the Austrian operator attest to this trend.

2023 has been the time of spring novelties at Designer Outlet Gdańsk. Pinko’s opening was undoubtedly one of the most eagerly awaited by lovers of the fashion house’s ultra-feminine collections. The American brand Guess, which is very popular in Poland, increased its offer in the centre and added two new stores: Guess Kids, with accessories and fashion for children, and the expanded Guess Accessories. Another recent U.S. opening in Gdańsk was that of Crocs. In addition, Villeroy&Boch reopened its doors to the public after an expansion phase.

At Designer Outlet Sosnowiec, denim retailer Lee Cooper and outdoors brand Quiksilver relocated and expanded their stores at the beginning of the year. while Polish brand Duka enriched the homewear offer with a new store at the centre at the end of last month.

In the case of Designer Outlet Warszawa, partnerships with new attractive brands continue. After last year’s openings of stores such as Karl Lagerfeld, Coccinelle and United Colors of Benetton, interesting openings await guests this year, including another outlet store in the beauty segment. Many major brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Lacoste and Pierre Cardin, have also expanded and modernised their stores in the centre.

Constantly refreshing the brand mix offer, expanding the premium segment and providing customers with new shopping incentives is the key to success and the part of the ‘trading-up’ strategy followed by the operator ROS Retail Outlet Shopping. “The indicators speak for themselves: last year’s sales in Designer Outlet Gdańsk, Designer Outlet Sosnowiec and Designer Outlet Warszawa were on average 32% higher compared to 2021, while footfall reached an increase of almost 25% over the same comparative period”, says Mireia Rodríguez Burguera, Leasing Director at ROS Retail Outlet Shopping.
