The Wiesbaden-based Nobilis Group is getting new co-shareholders: Chief Financial Officer Dr. Joachim Henseler is selling his 37.5 percent stake to Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co. KG, a family-owned company with over 140 years of tradition and one of the world’s most important players in the international travel-retail market with a decades-long growth strategy. Upon completion of the overall transaction, the two shareholders Udo Heuser, who will continue to lead the company as CEO, and Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co. KG will hold equal shares in the group.
Since neither Udo Heuser nor I personally see any family members in the company succession in the long term who could continue the company in the long term, it was an important concern and a special responsibility for us to set the right course early on and in the long term so that the strategy we have set out can continue to be pursued,” says Henseler.
The expansion of a further partnership in Austria and Germany will follow from the beginning of July 2023: Elizabeth Arden, part of Revlon Group Holdings LLC, with which a long-term, strategic cooperation already exists. In the future, the perfume brands of Elizabeth Arden will be integrated and further developed in the consumer lifestyle and prestige portfolio of the Nobilis Group.
A special focus will be placed on the skincare sector as a next, consistent step in the strategic alignment with the goal of becoming the leading fragrance and skincare distributor in the DACH region.
Further brands in this segment are to follow, according to a statement from Wiesbaden.
In 2024, the group aims to reach its sales target of 300 million euros.
In addition to its 30th anniversary, the Nobilis Group has another reason to celebrate: at the annual Duftstars gala in Vienna, two brands from its portfolio were recently awarded the Duftstar, one of the most important awards in the perfume industry:
- Maison Francis Kurkdjian 724 EdP (winner in the Artistic Independent Perfume category).
- Karl Lagerfeld Vienna Operà (winner in the Lifestyle category)
