Outlet Aubonne: The Only Outlet in French-Speaking Switzerland Strengthens its Ambitions for 2024

Outlet Aubonne, the only outlet shopping center in French-speaking Switzerland, starts the new year with ambitious prospects. Under the direction of a new retail management company since early 2023, the shopping center is constantly innovating and adapting to the needs of its customers.

With an annual inflow of 1.4 million visitors, Outlet Aubonne attracts many customers every year, thanks to its strategic location at the heart of the Lake Geneva region. Covering an area of 15,000 sq m and housing 51 boutiques, Outlet Aubonne demonstrates its commitment to offering visitors a spacious and welcoming space with a modern shopping experience. The diversity of its product range, including fashion, sports equipment, footwear, accessories and homeware, contributes to this appeal, offering a considerable choice for demanding consumers. Outlet Aubonne is distinguished by the presence of national and international brands such as Swatch, Nike, Adidas, Claudie Pierlot, Fusalp, Gant and Villeroy & Boch, among others.

The shopping center is adapting and growing to meet the expectations of Swiss consumers, who are known to place a premium on quality, reliability, and trust in their choice of products and services.

A Successful and Resilient Year 2023 in Face of Today’s Challenges

2023 marked a period of success for the Outlet Aubonne shopping center, recording a 6% increase in footfall compared to the previous year. This remarkable growth can be attributed not only to the wide selection of premium brands, but also to the carefully thought-out modern design of the establishment, offering its customers an elegant and contemporary setting.  In addition, the collections offered in stores are constantly updated, allowing customers to discover the latest fashion trends and their favorite brands at attractive prices, and thus enjoy a high-end shopping experience.

In a context marked by the growth of e-commerce, the global pandemic, and inflation, the resilience of Outlet Aubonne proved positive. The mall has remained dynamic by demonstrating its ability to evolve, enhance its customer experience and thrive in an ever-changing business environment.

Under the Management of the French Group Advantail since Early 2023

At the beginning of 2023, management was entrusted to the Swiss team of the French group Advantail, thus establishing a particularly attractive economic model for brands. The rent is determined in part based on the turnover achieved, offering brands an incentive to excel. However, the commitment to brands goes beyond the simple provision of advantageous commercial spaces.

Advantail supports them throughout their journey, carrying out careful data collection on the individual performance of each brand. This data is then analyzed in-depth, and personalized support is offered, aimed at continually optimizing and improving the results.

An Ambitious Outlook for 2024

At the end of last year, the Advantail Group, the current entity managing Outlet Aubonne, acquired the B Corp certification, demonstrating its commitment to transparent and responsible environmental and social practices. The ultimate objective of the group is to promote sustainable consumption and responsible management of their shopping centers, such as Outlet Aubonne.

The shopping center sees its expansion materialize with the imminent opening announcement of a new Sandro store, followed by several others during the second quarter. In this dynamic context, Cédrick Soudron, Director of Outlet Aubonne, asserts with conviction: “After a year spent understanding the site and implementing long-term work, the Advantail Swiss team is resolutely positive for the upcoming year. With an expected increase in attendance, a tourist season on the way, and the strengthening of activity through the marketing and renewal of brands, the outlook is promising.” He adds: “We are also working on diversifying the shopping center with the recurring presence of pop-up stores and the opening of dining areas. As part of this process, we are looking for a restaurant that will enrich the unique experience of Outlet Aubonne.”
