The Board of Directors announces that Sander van der Laan will be stepping down as CEO of Action to be succeeded by Hajir Hajji, currently Commercial Director and member of the executive management team.
The handover marks the next phase of development for Action which includes further implementation of a digital and sustainability strategy. Hajir will formally become CEO of Action on 1 January 2022, while Sander will remain with the company until the end of March 2022 to ensure a smooth transition.
Sander van der Laan: “It has been a great pleasure to lead such a great company and team. The passion and drive of our employees has been a source of inspiration for me. We will soon be opening our 2000th store and I believe this is the right time for Hajir to take over from me.”

Markus Tkotz, Managing Director of Markant AG, was unanimously elected as the new President of the EHI Retail Institute for a term of three years.
Tkotz has been an active member of the EHI Board of Directors since 2011. “We are pleased to have been able to win Markus Tkotz as the new EHI President. He has many years of retail experience at Markant AG and will provide important impetus to the EHI’s research work,” said Managing Director Michael Gerling.
At the same time, Kurt Jox, who had led EHI as president since 2018, was bid farewell. Jox was most recently managing director of Tessner Holding and retired this year.

The Board of Directors of Wereldhave Belgium SA announces the appointment of Ingrid Theuninck as Chief Financial Officer, effective as of November 8.
Ingrid Theuninck holds a degree in Commercial and Financial Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Real Estate, both from the KULeuven. She has extensive experience in corporate real estate financing and real estate transactions, in which she has been active for more than 20 years.

Globe Trade Center announces the promotion of Ede Gulyás to the position of County Manager, Hungary.
Ede Gulyás has over 20 years of experience in real estate, having served ten years at top managerial positions of multiple development and investment companies with class ‘A’ office-and retail buildings.
In his new position, Gulyás is replacing Robert Snow, GTC’s former member of the management board since the start of the company over two decades ago.

Neinver appoints Joan Rouras as new Head of Leasing and Retail.
Rouras benefits from more than 20 years of international experience in the retail industry in Europe, Asia and America. In his new role, Rouras will be responsible for Leasing & Retail across the 21 assets managed by Neinver in Spain, Poland, France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands.

Ballymore Asset Management Limited (BAML) has appointed Tony Hymers as Managing Director and Ross MacCaskill as Finance Director.
Tony Hymers joins from Burlington Estates, the property management services company based in Mayfair, which he co-founded in 2012. He is a Chartered Surveyor, Fellow of RICS and has over 25 years’ experience in the industry. With a fellow director he undertook a management buy-out of the block management section in 2012 and founded Burlington Estates. In addition, Tony acted as Chair of The Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) from October 2018 until September 2020.

GTC Poland continues to expand its personnel and strengthens the business development department. Maciej K. Król joined the company as Commercial Director, while Yacine Diallo was appointed as Development Director.
Maciej K. Król can boast over 20 years of experience in IT, corporate marketing, and investment consulting on the real estate market, optimization of business processes, and restructuring. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). As a new Commercial Director at GTC Poland, he will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of business strategy, product development and service standardization, as well as supporting asset management, leasing and project management teams.
